PTSD Coach


The PTSD Coach app was developed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This is a stand-alone education tool available for both Android and iOS devices. Connectivity is only required for direct connection to crisis support.

PTSD Coach provides users with information about post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), including:

  • Educational resources
  • Information about professional care
  • A self-assessment tool
  • Opportunities to find support
  • Tools to help manage the stresses of daily life with PTSD

SAMHSA Behavioral Health Disaster Response


In a disaster, it is essential that behavioral health responders have the resources they need—when and where they need them. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Disaster App makes it easy to provide quality support to survivors. At the touch of a button on the home screen, users can navigate:

  • Pre-deployment preparation
  • On-the-ground assistance
  • Post-deployment resources

Users can also:

  • Share resources, such as tips for helping survivors cope
  • Find local behavioral health services
  • Receive self-care support for responders at all stages of deployment

Designed for behavioral health professionals, the app provides access to evidence-based mental health and substance use information, tools, and resources for use in the field.
